    Good food for good people

What if we tell you that the restaurant review system is broken?

People post reviews when they are either very happy or very angry. ‘Rude waiter.’ One star. ‘Best meal everrr!!’ Five stars.

On the one side, you have platforms that thrive on inflated ratings and sponsored posts. On the other hand, there are the professional critics who favour new, often urban and high-end places. Meanwhile, ordinary diners like you and me are left to wade through sludge written by one-star-bandits, inconspicuous advertising and wordy write-ups by Michelin inspectors and their elite palates.

    Hold that thought.

Remember when social media was... well, social? When not every tap and scroll was optimised to turn a profit? When you’d actually see your friends and their posts, instead of where influencer X got her trendy #pastry #ad? And when you wouldn’t have to worry so much about privacy settings, trolls and cookies - the ones you can’t eat?

    Enter The Walrus Club.

The place where you can go to see where your people eat, not what the algorithm feeds you. An old school social network, invite-only and easy to navigate. Where hidden gems still stand a chance, and all reviews are genuine recommendations. No thumbs down, no pop-up ads, no bots, no nonsense.

Just good food for good people.
